The Systems Engineer (Azure) is an individual that works planning, designing, monitoring, supporting, and integrating enterprise systems, as well as, working with other Administrators to accomplish projects and goals.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Responsible for architecture, design, and implementation of multi-disciplined cloud solutions with a focus on Microsoft Azure and Office 365.
  • Plans, designs, and coordinates, evaluate, and recommends the various components of an enterprise systems as it relates to Azure and 365.
  • Works closely with DevOps teams and other departments for the design and implementation of Azure resources.
  • Consults with users and program management conducting information assessments to determine user needs and to define system solutions to meet user requirements.
  • Designs and configures an enterprise environment with appropriate hardware, operating systems software, applications software, and communications components to support business requirements.
  • Conducts research and development in systems, software and related technologies.
  • Establishes methods and procedures for use of the systems including hardware, software, and communications devices.
  • Coordinates and ensures the standard implementation of policies, procedures and systems operations with support personnel.
  • Writes and/or maintains up-to-date documentation for software and operational procedures.
  • Develops system configuration plans for new and existing applications or systems.
  • Reassesses the effectiveness of software and system performance
  • Analyzes and resolves network, software, and communications problems using diagnostic software and/or technical troubleshooting processes.
  • Develops and maintains disaster recovery procedures for the network and network resources.
  • Performs related work as required.

Job Requirements (Please Ensure You Meet The Listed Requirements Prior To Applying)

  • High School Diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field - required
    • Or One (1) The Following Certification
      • Azure Solutions Architect Expert
    • Or Two (2) Of The Following Certifications
      • Microsoft Azure Administrator
      • Microsoft Enterprise Administrator Expert
      • Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator Associate
  • Four (4) years’ training and experience working in a centralized IT environment configuring, maintaining, and delivering enterprise on-prem, hybrid, and cloud solutions - required
  • Three (3) or more years project experience designing and delivering Azure cloud solutions on an enterprise scale – required
  • Three (3) years of experience providing cloud solutions, including hybrid solutions on-premises or in the cloud, lift-and-shift initiatives, migrations, and upgrades – required
  • Experience migrating technologies to the Azure and 365 cloud and designing and implementing hybrid solutions.
  • Experience with Azure AD, Resource Groups, Security Policies, Automation Runbooks, Azure Resource Manager, ARM Templates, Terraform, Key Vaults, Digital Certificates, Kubernetes with AKS, Azure Logic Apps, Function Apps, Azure Log Analytics, Azure Service Health, Azure SQL Azure Cosmos DB, Firewalls, Virtual Networks, Azure storage, NSG, Traffic Manager, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, virtual machines, scale sets, Azure HDInsight, Azure Event Hubs, VNets, Azure Migrate, Azure Database Migration Service, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup.
  • Ability to lead a project when necessary.
  • Must be able to provide proper documentation of systems.
  • Knowledge of distributed processing operations, procedures, and equipment
  • Ability to monitor and resolve problems with distributed computer systems components.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to work in a high stress environment.
  • Ability to work and be on call in a 24/7 work environment.
  • Willing to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required.
  • Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position.
  • Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment.
