Housekeeping Supervisor:

The 2nd Shift Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the evening housekeeping operation to ensure the hotel maintains Marriott brand standards for cleanliness, appearance, and guest satisfaction. This position supervises housekeeping associates during the second shift, ensuring guestrooms, public areas, meeting spaces, and back-of-house areas remain clean, safe, and guest-ready.

The ideal candidate leads by example, provides exceptional associate support, responds promptly to guest requests, and works collaboratively with Front Office, Engineering, Security, and Food & Beverage to deliver an outstanding guest experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervise and support Housekeeping associates during the second shift.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings, communicate daily tasks, follow ups and special projects.
  • Assign daily work and monitor productivity.
  • Complete shift reports and communicate pass-on information to the Housekeeping Leadership team.
  • Document room discrepancies and maintenance issues.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to associates.
  • Ensure compliance with Marriott standards, company policies, and safety procedures.
  • Assist with training of new associates.
  • Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a positive work environment.
  • Inspect guestrooms, suites, public spaces, restrooms, corridors, and service areas to ensure cleanliness and brand standards.
  • Support Staff needs both operational and motivational.
  • Follow up on room deficiencies and ensure corrective action is completed promptly.
  • Coordinate room status updates with the Front Desk to maximize room availability.
  • Ensure guest requests are completed efficiently and professionally.
  • Monitor housekeeping supplies and equipment and report shortages or maintenance concerns.
  • Ensure proper chemical usage and safe handling procedures are followed.
  • Follow up with guests to ensure complete satisfaction whenever appropriate.
  • Partner with Front Office leadership to prioritize guest needs.
  • Assist with Lost and found tracking and follow up to guests. 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel environment.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Have a keen eye for detail, time management and great customer service skills.
  • Pleasant and friendly demeanor.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work as a team and independently.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during periods of high occupancy.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards.
  • Physical mobility and stamina. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. 
  • Ability to follow instructions.
