Job Summary
Durango Cocina & Rooftop is seeking professional, guest-focused Food & Beverage Servers to join our upscale restaurant and rooftop hospitality team. This position is responsible for providing exceptional dining service, creating a welcoming guest experience, and maintaining the high standards expected within a hotel restaurant and rooftop environment.
The ideal candidate is polished, reliable, service-driven, and experienced in a fast-paced restaurant, bar, hotel, or upscale hospitality setting. Servers must be able to deliver professional service with attention to detail, menu knowledge, teamwork, and a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and provide professional, attentive, and friendly service.
Present menus, explain food and beverage selections, and make thoughtful recommendations.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them properly into the POS system.
Serve food and drinks in a timely, polished, and professional manner.
Maintain strong knowledge of menu items, ingredients, allergens, specials, cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience and respond promptly to guest needs.
Support an upscale service environment with clean presentation, proper table maintenance, and attention to detail.
Process guest payments accurately and follow all cash handling and credit card procedures.
Work closely with kitchen, bar, host, busser, and management teams to ensure smooth operations.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and company policies.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, dining areas, rooftop areas, and guest-facing spaces.
Handle guest concerns professionally and notify management when support is needed.
Assist with opening, closing, side work, restocking, and other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Previous restaurant, bar, hotel, or upscale service experience preferred.
Strong guest service skills with a professional and positive attitude.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-standard hospitality environment.
Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry trays or service items during the shift.
Must be available to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Knowledge of POS systems, food handling, and alcohol service is a plus.
Must follow all company grooming, uniform, hygiene, and professional conduct standards.
Preferred Experience
Upscale dining, rooftop bar, hotel restaurant, lounge, banquet, or cocktail service experience.
Experience with wine, cocktails, spirits, and beverage presentation.
Ability to provide refined service while remaining warm, approachable, and guest-focused.
