The opportunity

Delaware North Global Headquarters is hiring a Corporate Paralegal to join our corporate legal team located in Buffalo, New York.  As a Paralegal, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of legal services to Delaware North’s business operators, focusing on contract review/drafting, regulatory and contractual compliance, and legal/factual research and analysis necessary to support business decisions and operations. In addition, you will have opportunity to take on special projects as assigned, including assistance of Law Department counsel with specifically delegated substantive legal work.

What will you do?

  • Partner closely with in-house counsel supporting business operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Manage workflows for contacts and compliance matters.
  • Gather and organize facts, business information, and supporting materials from internal stakeholders to support legal review and decision-making.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Law Department and internal business partners to facilitate information requests, status updates, and follow-up actions.
  • Make recommendations and suggestions to the Law Department for decisions and actions.
  • Work effectively under broad supervision from subsidiary counsel.

More about you

  • Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies and seven years of law firm or corporate experience
  • Possess a strong knowledge of business transactional legal concepts and business organizational issues and company-specific business organization structure in order to to deal effectively and directly with business representatives and outside counsel.

  • Ability to perform factual and legal research and analysis within contractual documentation on an as needed basis.

  • Possess skills necessary to respond to time critical, sensitive, unique and complex business organization transactions. Organization and attention to detail are critical to the position.

  • Ability to multitask a high volume of work.

  • Must have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word.

  • Working knowledge of Office 365, AI platforms, preferably Microsoft Copilot, and project tools, preferably SmartSheet.
