A Capriotti's Sandwich Shop Team Member takes part in servicing our guests around our beautiful Hotel and you'll be part of a great team of helpful people who are passionate about delivering exceptional service. This task is to be handled in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in an extremely high level of guest satisfaction.

A Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop Team Member is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service while preparing and serving both hot and cold food and light food offerings within the hotel café or market. This role plays an important part in creating a welcoming and elevated guest experience for hotel guests, visitors, and associates while maintaining cleanliness, product quality, and operational efficiency in accordance with brand standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Welcome guests and patrons in a warm, friendly, and professional manner consistent with hotel service standards
• Prepare and serve sandwiches and other café menu items according to established recipes and presentation guidelines
• Accurately take guest orders and process transactions through the POS system
• Maintain knowledge of hotel amenities, outlets, and local area information to assist guests when needed
• Provide excellent hospitality and personalized service to enhance the guest experience
• Ensure both the Shop and Cup of Joe Café, seating areas, counters, displays, and equipment remain clean, organized, and always stocked
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and brand standards related to food and beverage preparation and handling
• Assist with inventory management, restocking products, and notifying leadership of low inventory or maintenance concerns
• Support opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and balancing responsibilities
• Maintain quality and consistency of all beverages and food items served
• Work collaboratively with Food & Beverage, Front Office, and hotel leadership teams to support overall hotel operations and guest satisfaction
• Respond to guest concerns promptly and professionally and escalate issues when appropriate
• Maintain professionalism, attendance, grooming, and uniform standards in accordance with hotel policies

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Previous food service, café, hospitality, or food and beverage experience preferred
• Hotel or Resort experience suggested
• Strong guest service and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment
• Basic cash handling and POS experience preferred
• Flexible schedule availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team
• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout shift
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive hand motions
• Ability to safely operate food and beverage equipment
