Room Service Department Trainer

We are seeking an enthusiastic, patient, and service-focused Room Service - Department Trainer to support onboarding, hands-on training, and ongoing colleague development. This position works closely with department leadership to ensure colleagues understand their responsibilities and consistently meet our service and operational standards.

Essential Responsibilities

• Welcome new colleagues and guide them through department onboarding and training.

• Provide hands-on instruction on department procedures, job responsibilities, safety practices, and guest service expectations.

• Demonstrate proper techniques and reinforce standards through coaching, observation, and constructive feedback.

• Coordinate training schedules with department leadership.

• Maintain accurate training checklists and records of colleague progress.

• Identify training needs and communicate recommendations to department leadership.

• Assist with refresher training and the introduction of new procedures, equipment, or service standards.

• Model professionalism, teamwork, and exceptional guest service.

• Support daily department operations while reinforcing training expectations.

Qualifications

• At least one year of hospitality experience; previous departmental training or leadership experience preferred.

• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.

• Ability to explain procedures clearly and adapt training to different learning styles.

• A patient, approachable, and energetic personality.

• Ability to provide constructive feedback and maintain a supportive learning environment.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with department leadership.

• Ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate job instructions and safety procedures.

Schedule and Physical Requirements

• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.

• Ability to work shifts that support departmental operations and colleague training needs.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and demonstrate the essential duties of the department, with or without reasonable accommodation.
