The Courtyard Madison East is looking to add fun, outgoing, A+ members to our Bistro Team in the Evenings. This is a part-time position that would work well for a student looking to pick up some extra income! Possibility to pick up more hours if weekends are worked.
Hours are 3p-10p or 4p-11p
JOB SUMMARY
The Bistro Server is responsible for preparing food orders and serving meals or beverages to guests and coordinating kitchen activities by performing various duties.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Presents menu, answers questions and takes food and beverage orders.
• Prepare food according to use records.
Friendly personality

Deliver prompt, excellent service to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
Offer helpful guidance with menu offerings, responding knowledgeably to questions.
Prepare and serve basic coffee drinks
• Prepares food in quantities according to menu and number of persons to be served.
• Computes bill and accepts payment.
• Clears and cleans tables; resets counters and tables.
• Maintains kitchen and wait station by keeping area tidy and clean and stocks kitchen and bar at the end of each shift. .
• Ensures all temp logs and waste logs are maintained daily.
•Follow proper food safety rules, dates, and examines food and supplies to ensure quality and quantity meet established standards and specifications.
Maintain clean and organized work space
Engaging with guests and understanding and responding to guests needs
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Requires the ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
• Ability to manage difficult or customer situations; includes the ability to respond promptly to customer needs and requests for service and assistance.
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.
• Knowledge of, and ability to, appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures.
