Job Description

This candidate will be responsible for attending to associates in the Maple Hall Caf at the Omni Hotels & Resorts corporate office in Dallas, TX. The goal will be to provide consistent, efficient, personalized and prompt food and beverage service to all associates while ensuring the Omni standards are being met.

Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests with a pleasant smile and friendly greeting.
  • Ensure the barista counter is fully stocked and ready for service prior to caf opening.
  • Take and enter orders while answering any questions and offering suggestions on menu selections; practice suggestive selling.
  • Make and serve guest’s coffee drinks and breakfast grab & go items.

    • Assist with preparing the caf service line and all dining areas are stocked and ready for lunch service.

  • Serve guests food items from the front service line during lunch service.

    • Assist with setup and service for onsite meetings and events in the Caf and Maple Hall meeting rooms when required by business needs.

    • Maintain cleanliness of work station throughout the day.

    • Complete closing duties.

    • Assist with front office/reception on as needed basis.

  • Complete any other duties within the scope of Food & Beverage operations at Maple Hall as assigned by Dining GM or Sous Chef.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of food & beverage/serving experience
  • General knowledge of food and beverage service
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Self-motivated, flexible and reliable
  • Great ustomer service skills with positive attitude
  • Take direction and follow recipes
  • Cross trained for FOH & BOH operations
  • Possible barista experience
  • Ability to operate a POS/register

Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to stand and operate a point of sale register and coffee equipment for long periods.
  • The ability to lift and move items up to 40 pounds.
  • The ability to assist with outdoor cleaning and moving of equipment when required by business needs.

Working Environment:

  • Restaurant front and back of house conditions.

Tools & Equipment:

  • Point of sale system, coffee equipment.
