Description

Activities Summer Seasonal Coordinator

Role Overview: The Activities Summer Seasonal Coordinator is the heartbeat of our summer guest experience. Based across our premier pools, beaches, and lush resort lawns, you will be responsible for the professional implementation of themed programs and active guest engagement. This role requires a high-energy individual who can work independently to lead games, facilitate group participation, and ensure every member and guest enjoys a "positively memorable" lakeside stay.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Active Facilitation: Lead and promote a variety of interactive games and group activities, including Sand Volleyball, Cornhole, Family Trivia, and "Minute to Win It" challenges.
  • Resort Expert: Maintain expert knowledge of the Activity Guide and Kids Club offerings to accurately answer guest questions regarding pricing, locations, and schedules.
  • Operational Readiness: Ensure all activity areas are presentable, organized, and fully stocked. Manage equipment with care and notify supervisors immediately of any maintenance needs.
  • Guest Concierge: Provide "Gracious Hospitality" by offering local recommendations for dining and shopping. Develop a rapport with frequent members to personalize their experience based on their family interests and preferences.
  • Problem Resolution: Address guest concerns or complaints immediately by consulting with the Activities Manager or Supervisor to ensure a seamless 5-star experience.
  • Administrative & Safety Duties: Ensure accurate guest charging for activities. Adhere to all safety protocols, providing proper instructions to guests before operating any equipment to ensure a "worry-free" stay for families.
  • Dynamic Teamwork: Be prepared to pivot between various resort locations—from poolside games to lawn activities—based on business levels and resort needs.

Employment Standards:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; pursuing a college degree is a plus.
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Availability: Must be available for the full summer season (Late May through mid-August), including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills; must speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • Attributes: Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask with minimal supervision, and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Safety: Knowledge of CPR and First Aid is preferred; certification is a plus.

Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Fitness: Physically fit with the ability to walk, run, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods in an outdoor environment.
  • Strength: Regularly lift 15 lbs; frequently lift 25 lbs; occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a neat, clean appearance and professional demeanor, adhering to all resort uniform and slip-resistant footwear standards.
  • Resilience: Ability to remain calm and pleasant in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Associate Benefits

We take care of our team so you can take care of our guests. All associates enjoy:

  • Housing & Transport: Associate housing and shuttle services available.
  • Dining: Weekly meal subsidies and discounts at resort retail and dining outlets.
  • Perks: Golf and amenity privileges (subject to occupancy/business levels).
  • Travel: Exclusive discounts at over 100 Crescent Hotels & Resorts properties nationwide.

Full-Time Seasonal associates are also eligible for:

  • Training: Required Orientation, Leadership, and specialized skills training classes.
  • Support: Access to the Associate Relief Fund.
