Restaurant Manager – Slick Rock

About the Role

At Horseshoe Bay Resort, where Texas hospitality meets luxury in the heart of the Hill Country, we are seeking an experienced and service-driven Restaurant Manager to lead operations at Slick Rock. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences for Members and Resort Guests while managing day-to-day restaurant operations, team performance, and financial results.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong food and beverage background, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to drive both guest satisfaction and operational excellence in a dynamic golf environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional service standards and guest satisfaction
  • Lead, train, and develop front- and back-of-house team members
  • Implement and maintain service, safety, and operational standards
  • Manage scheduling, staffing levels, and labor costs
  • Monitor and drive revenue through service excellence and upselling opportunities
  • Oversee inventory control, ordering, and cost management
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
  • Support golf events, tournaments, and special functions as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional environment

Leadership & Team Development

  • Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard team members
  • Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and disciplinary action when necessary
  • Develop and implement training programs and service standards
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work culture focused on accountability and guest service

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 3 years of Restaurant Manager experience required
  • Strong background in food and beverage operations; upscale dining experience preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple service areas or outlets effectively
  • Food Handler and TABC certification required
  • Valid driver’s license with insurable record (21+ if operating company vehicles)
  • Proficiency with POS systems and general computer applications (Agilysys experience a plus)
  • OSHA safety knowledge or certification preferred
