As Area Director of Group Sales, you'll own group revenue strategy across all five Moxy hotels in New York City: Times Square, Chelsea, East Village, Lower East Side, and Brooklyn Williamsburg.

What You'll Do

• Own group revenue strategy and execution across all five Moxy NYC properties, driving performance across corporate, entertainment, lifestyle, and social segments.
• Lead, coach, and develop on-property group sales coordinators.
• Partner closely with Revenue Management align pricing, positioning, and pipeline strategy.
• Build and grow relationships with key accounts, third-party planners, DMCs, and Marriott's GSO network.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand share in one of the most competitive comp sets in the country.
• Use the property sales management system to forecast, block, build accounts, and manage activity.
• Represent the portfolio at trade shows, industry events, client entertainment, and community functions.
• Partner with Operations, F&B, and Events teams to deliver group experiences that live up to the Moxy brand.
• Monitor market trends, comp set activity, and customer behavior; adjust strategy proactively.
• Support annual budget planning, quarterly forecasting, and ownership reporting across the portfolio.
• Respond to inquiries and RFPs within established SLAs and drive them to close.

What You Bring

• 7+ years of progressive hotel group sales experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Multi-property or area-level sales oversight strongly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of the NYC hotel market — comp set dynamics, key accounts, DMCs, planners, and venues that move business.
• Proven track record of exceeding group revenue targets in lifestyle or full-service branded hotels.
• Comfort partnering cross-functionally with Revenue Management, Marketing, F&B, Operations, and ownership.

The salary range for this role is 125-135K commensurate with experience.
