About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our team at Courtyard by Marriott Washington, DC. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone with accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience who is looking to grow their skills in a fast-paced hotel environment.

As an Accounting Clerk, you’ll play an important role in supporting the financial operations of the hotel while working alongside a team that values collaboration, accuracy, and professional growth.

What You'll Do

• Support the day-to-day accounting operations of the hotel
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Review invoices, receipts, and financial documents for accuracy
• Reconcile accounts and assist with resolving discrepancies
• Assist with daily revenue reporting, deposits, and financial records
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting files and documentation
• Assist with payroll-related accounting tasks as needed
• Communicate with vendors and hotel departments regarding invoices and payments
• Assist with month-end closing and other accounting projects
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information
• Provide administrative support to the hotel’s accounting team
• Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations

What We're Looking For

• Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience preferred
• Hotel or hospitality accounting experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Comfortable working with numbers and financial information
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Dependable, positive, and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a TEAM environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required; accounting education or experience preferred
