We are seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead the iconic Moxy Chelsea, a vibrant lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Manhattan.

About the Role

As General Manager, you will have full responsibility for the hotel's operations, financial performance, guest satisfaction, team engagement, and overall market presence. You will serve as the driving force behind the property's culture and success, leading a dynamic team while ensuring every aspect of the hotel delivers on the bold, playful, and energetic Moxy brand promise.

You will be equally comfortable reviewing a P&L, engaging with guests in the lobby, mentoring department leaders, solving operational challenges, and identifying new opportunities to grow revenue and profitability.

What You'll Do

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for all hotel departments and team members.
• Drive exceptional financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, expense management, and achievement of budget goals.
• Create and maintain a highly engaged, accountable, and guest-focused hotel culture.
• Deliver memorable guest experiences that reflect the unique personality and energy of the Moxy brand.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing leadership and operations team.
• Partner closely with Sales, Revenue Management, Marketing, and Food & Beverage teams to maximize hotel performance.
• Maintain a strong presence throughout the hotel and serve as a visible leader for both guests and associates.
• Monitor guest feedback and implement meaningful strategies to continually improve service and satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, company policies, and all applicable regulations.
• Build strong relationships with ownership, corporate leadership, community partners, and key stakeholders.
• Identify innovative opportunities to enhance the hotel's positioning in the highly competitive New York City market.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is an experienced, energetic, and commercially minded hotel executive with a passion for lifestyle hospitality.

Qualifications include:

• 3 + years  General Manager experience in a full-service, lifestyle, luxury, or upscale hotel environment.
• Strong experience leading complex hotel operations in a major urban market; New York City experience strongly preferred.
• Marriott and/or lifestyle brand experience preferred.
• Proven ability to drive RevPAR, profitability, guest satisfaction, and market share.
• Strong financial acumen with demonstrated P&L and budget management experience.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and team development skills.
• A hands-on leadership style with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational execution.
• Experience leading diverse teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Compensation

$200,000–$225,000 annually, commensurate with experience
