Description

Ensures that sufficient funds, personnel, & equipment are available to provide optimum service for the company and its guests. Ensures that procedures are in place in both safeguard funds and stay in regulatory compliance.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Directs operations in the Cage and Credit Departments.

Ensures that all assets of the cage, to include confidential credit information, are safe guarded.

Coordinates with upper management and sister departments to ensure effective and harmonious operations.

Ensures that credit applications are received, processed, and approved in an effective and timely manner.

Promotes outstanding guest service and provides employees with environment for success.

Ensures that department is in strict compliance with company, state and federal requirements and regulations.

Meets with all supervisors and managers on a daily/weekly basis.

Handles the operating expenses, budget and capital expenditures to ensure maximum operational efficiency.

Ensures all disciplinary actions abide by guidelines set forth by Human Resources.

Conducts research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable in regards to industry trends and legal updates.

Hires, trains, and counsels Rockers.

Conducts reviews of Rockers that are direct reports.

Maintains knowledge of property information, including memorabilia.

Supervises all cage and credit Hard Rockers.

Other Duties & Responsibilities:

Upholds the Mission Statement – To spread the spirit of rock ‘n roll by creating authentic experiences that rock.

Represents Hard Rock Biloxi in the most positive manner with guests, co-workers, managers, and vendors.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required

A. Knowledge: The level of education, experience, and training an individual must have at minimum to be considered qualified for the position.

B. Skills: Specific skills such as computer usage, communication, 10-key touch, etc.

C. Abilities: The physical components of the job and how the physical aspect is accomplished. Does the position require LIFTING 50 pounds, or does it require one to MOVE 50 pounds. Can the 50 pounds be moved using a dolly or cart? (Examples: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, color vision, etc.)

High School diploma general education (GED); college degree preferred.

Previous casino cage or credit management experience required.

Previous cash handling experience required.

Must know and comply with requirements of Title 31 Bank Secrecy Act as pertains to Credit/Cage transactions.

Must possess basic computer skills and knowledgeable with casino computer systems, Microsoft applications, and timekeeping programs.

Data entry skills preferred.

Ability to balance shift and cage.

Must have basic mathematical skills. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.

A Mississippi Gaming Commission work permit is required for this position.

Must possess excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills.

Must be very detailed oriented.

Must project a professional and positive image.

Must have a high level of energy

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Ability to deal with people in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.

Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all Hard Rockers and guests.

Ability to understand and promulgate written memos, instructions, regulations.

Excellent telephone skills required.

Training

All employees are required to complete mandatory compliance training within thirty (30) days of hire date, then annually thereafter. Training marked with an asterisk below must be completed prior to reporting to their respective work area. The below courses are required for this position:

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi features a Hard Rock Casino with over 1,200 slot machines and 52 table games. The Hard Rock Hotel features 479 rooms and 5 suites that overlook the Mississippi’s Gulf shore.
