The Promissory Hotel is searching for dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our growing team as Housekeepers & Laundry Attendants!
As a valued team member, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and overall appearance of our hotel while providing friendly and efficient service to our guests at our soon-to-be-open destination boutique hotel with a vibrant restaurant/bar, Suerte, and live music hall, The Exchange.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Smile, have fun, and be energetic!
- Cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and public areas.
- Changing linens, making beds, and deep cleaning bathrooms.
- Vacuuming, dusting, and window cleaning all areas.
- Ensure all guestroom amenities are stocked and appliances are in good condition.
- Sort and inspect all linens and terry, then clean linens in washers/dryers.
- Retrieving and restocking the housekeeping carts according to standard housekeeping, safety, and security procedures.
- Responding to guest requests and reporting maintenance issues.
- Properly storing any lost items and reporting any damage to the manager.
- Assist with inventory tracking of housekeeping and laundry supplies.
- Assist in other housekeeping and laundry duties as needed.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- A friendly and hospitable demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Knowledge of the Roanoke region and the town's local attractions.
