What You Will Be Doing

Review and analyze monthly operating performance for hotel assets, identifying key trends and operational opportunities.

Prepare high-quality materials for monthly, quarterly, and annual presentations to senior leadership.

Build and maintain financial models, projections, valuations, and ROI analyses to support strategic decision-making.

Benchmark performance across the portfolio to highlight operational gaps and improvement opportunities.

Support preparation of annual operating, marketing, and capital expenditure budgets.

Conduct market research and competitive supply analyses.

Leverage Business Intelligence (BI) tools to transform data into actionable insights for executives and operators.

Create detailed financial pro formas for hotel investment and management opportunities, including return modeling and sensitivity analyses.

Gain exposure to underwriting deals, including evaluating investment scenarios, capital structures, and return metrics.

Develop polished presentations, pitch decks, and case studies for owners, investors, and key stakeholders.

Research markets and synthesize large datasets to assess investment opportunities.

Participate in due diligence processes for property transitions into Magna’s management platform.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree is required from an accredited college or university.
  • 1.5 to 2 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, ideally with strong financial modeling and BI experience.
  • Strong financial acumen with operations and business-oriented mindset
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex analyses.
  • Confident, professional presence with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization — from corporate teams to property leadership to owners/investors.
  • Hotel industry experience is a plus but not required — we are willing to train the right candidate on industry-specific concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and modern AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity) to increase speed and productivity.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
