Food & Beverage Operations Supervisor

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Westin Anaheim Resort Food and Beverage division is committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences across all of our outlets including Tangerine Room, Bar 1030, Rise Rooftop, Bella Splash Pool Bar, In Room Dining, and the Club Lounge.

The Food and Beverage Operations Supervisor plays an important role in this mission by providing hands-on leadership for front-of-house teams and ensuring consistent service standards across outlets. This position supports daily operations while also serving as a development path for future leaders within the division.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree preferred
• A minimum of two (3) years of previous Food and Beverage leadership experience required
• Strong knowledge of service standards and cash handling procedures
• Experience in 4 Diamond rated hotel preferred
• Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to coach, motivate and hold staff accountable while maintaining professionalism
• Excellent guest service, leadership and conflict resolution skills
• Strong knowledge of food, wine, beer, and spirits
• Ability to motivate and hold staff accountable with professionalism
• Valid Food Handler’s Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support servers, bartenders, hosts, bussers, runners, and club lounge attendants
• Oversee service execution in Tangerine Room, Bar 1030, Rise Rooftop, Pool Bar, In-Room Dining, and Club Lounge
• Lead pre-shift meetings to align staff on service standards and daily goals
• Ensure accurate check closure, gratuity application, and financial compliance
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism and effective recovery
• Provide real-time coaching and reinforce SOPs during operations
• Monitor outlet readiness, cleanliness, and side-work completion
• Assist with inventory, par levels, and cross-utilization of supplies to control costs
• Document and escalate staff or operational issues when required
• Train and mentor team members for advancement within F&B
• Participate in cross-outlet rotations to ensure comprehensive operational knowledge

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

While performing the duties of this job it will require:

• Work at any outlet as directed by leadership
• Must be able to tolerate temperature changes from hot to cold and cold to hot.
• Sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally.
• Must be able to move tables and chairs throughout the shift.
• Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting/pushing 120 pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods

Additional Requirements

• Strong knowledge of food/wine/liquor
• Language: Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
• Availability: Must be able and flexible to work as required by business demands most specifically nights, weekends & holidays
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
