The Opportunity
Mille Lacs Corporate Ventures (MLCV) is a tribally owned and operated enterprise seeking a highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented Business Intelligence Analyst. This role serves as a strategic liaison between Finance, HR, and Technology, driving reporting excellence, system governance, data security, and analytics innovation across a diverse portfolio of businesses.The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining simple to complex Workday reports and dashboards, managing system integrations, ensuring data governance compliance, and administering security within the Workday environment. This role delivers meaningful metrics, trends, forecasts, and analytical insights that inform executive and operational decision-making.
What You Get to Do
Business Intelligence & Reporting
- Develop and maintain simple to complex Workday reports, including matrix and composite reports, utilizing Workday Report Writer and Report Designer.
- Analyze, design, and build custom reports using standard Workday functionality (Report Writer, Calculated Fields, and related tools).
- Deliver meaningful metrics, trends, KPIs, and analytical insights through Workday reporting and dashboards.
- Ensure custom reports function as designed and align with defined business requirements.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing custom reports in Workday.
- Document report functions, data sources, logic, and design to facilitate sustainability and future maintenance.
- Participate in report reviews to ensure accuracy, appropriate access, and compliance with security and data privacy standards.
- Provide impact analysis on reporting resulting from Workday releases or system functionality updates; recommend and implement necessary changes.
- Support data retention strategies and historical reporting capabilities.
- Translate stakeholder business needs into scalable and secure reporting solutions.
ERP & System Administration
- Configure, maintain and optimize Workday modules and related Plug ins (including Adaptive and other similar tools).
- Manage system integrations across HR and business applications
- Provide incident management troubleshooting and system enhancement support.
- Once trained, serve as subject matter expert for system hierarchies, structure and reporting frameworks.
Security & Compliance
- Configure, maintain, and advise on security within the Workday application, including domain security policies, roles, and role assignments.
- Develop and maintain awareness of divisional data security policies and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
- Coordinate with vendors to understand new technology scope and associated security functionality.
- Stay current on new Workday security features and roadmap updates; implement enhancements where appropriate.
- Perform routine audits of system roles, access logs, and segregation of duties to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Demonstrate proof of system security controls during internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGRs).
- Secure and maintain licensing through the Gaming Regulatory Authority.
Vendor & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Finance, HR, IT, and operational leaders to evaluate system enhancements and process improvements.
- Collaborate across Workday support teams including HCM (Talent) to develop and execute communication, training, and change management plans.
- Measure effectiveness of communication and training initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide user support services and develop educational materials to increase end-user engagement and best practice adoption.
- Coordinate with software vendors to evaluate integrations, enhancements, and system upgrades.

What Qualifies you
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in an Information Technical Field, Accounting or Finance, related field or 6+ years of experience in higher level computer systems in accounting/finance or similar
- Must be extremely literate in Software Applications with ability to identify, design, test and deploy processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Workday Finance experience or training preferred.
- Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR’s).
Must Have Skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels and departments, both internal and external.

- Must have excellent problem solving and organizational skills. Position gives advice/direction to co-workers on a variety of accounting components specific to each individual company.
- Displays a high level of maturity, discretion, tact, judgment, and the ability to deal with confidential matters.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and a cloud-based communication and retention system, such as Microsoft Teams.
- ERP system understanding and accounting system experience preferred
- Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority.
- Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.
WorkEnvironment:
Position offers hybrid flexibility, with scheduled required days in-office to fulfill duties of the position, attend meetings and as required by management.
