The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring full-time and part-time Banquet Servers to join our team at The Lodge at Geneva in Geneva, Ohio. As a Banquet Server, you will provide outstanding customer service while serving food and beverage products in a banquet setting, ensuring that The Lodge at Geneva guests’ needs are being met in a positive, efficient, and courteous manner. The ideal Banquet Server candidate will be friendly, positive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Please note this is a tipped position; the hourly minimum pay listed doesn’t include any potential tipped earnings.

Pay

$12.00 – $12.00 / hour

What will you do?

  • Sets up tables for the function in accordance with the banquet event order
  • Accurately transports food and beverages to guests promptly
  • Performs necessary tasks to service guests, including: taking and filling drink orders, providing refills, answering questions, and clearing dirty dishes
  • Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, and adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.
  • Monitors guest needs continually, ensuring all requests are promptly fulfilled; handles any guest complaints
  • Replenishes food on buffet lines (if applicable)
  • Maintains a safe and clean environment for guests and fellow team members
  • Breaks down the event according to the company procedures

More about you

  • Must be 16 or older
  • Minimum of 3 months’ previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, including listening skills, and the ability to take food and beverage orders and fill those orders correctly
  • No high school diploma or GED required

Physical requirements

  • Ability to stand or walk, including up and down stairs, for the entire length of the shift
  • Ability to lift to 35 pounds
  • Mobility to maneuver between tables
