Position Overview
We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the sales efforts for this flagship lifestyle Hotel. This role is an opportunity to shape the market presence of one of Los Angeles’ most distinctive hotels while driving revenue across all segments, including group & business travel.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute innovative sales and marketing strategies that position westdrift as a premier destination in Los Angeles and the South Bay
  • Lead, inspire, and grow a high-performing sales, catering, and marketing team
  • Drive group and event business across our expansive and unique venues, from beachfront-inspired weddings to large-scale corporate and tech events
  • Identify new market opportunities and strategic partnerships to maximize revenue and brand visibility
  • Collaborate with revenue management to optimize pricing, forecasting, and distribution strategies
  • Elevate the hotel’s digital presence and storytelling to reflect its distinctive lifestyle positioning
  • Build strong relationships with key clients, agencies, and community partners
  • Develop Budgets and Sales & Marketing Plans 
  • Position will represent the Sales & Marketing Department on the Executive Committee 

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ Years proven success in hotel sales leadership, preferably within lifestyle or luxury properties
  • Strong understanding of the Los Angeles market and group/event segments
  • Creative, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building brand identity
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution
  • Marriott Brand & CITY sales system experience is a plus

The very first developers of Manhattan Beach dreamt of a unique resort community built atop coastal sand dunes. While picturesque, these massive dunes created a major challenge for the original township, as westerly winds caused a constant drift of sugary sand across streets, railroads and boardwalks. In a monumental effort that would forever change Manhattan Beach, most of these dunes were leveled in order to build the town and the sand was purchased and shipped to the beaches of Waikiki. Westdrift Manhattan Beach, Autograph Collection is a unique hotel inspired by the West Coast lifestyle, the sand dune history of Manhattan Beach and the driftwood finishes used in the hotel lobby. The name evokes the endless California summer for adventurous individuals in search of a boutique hotel experience-an all-in-one destination with room to stay and play.
