About The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at the Mining Exchange Hotel, a historic luxury property in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs. This role is essential in ensuring our guest rooms and public spaces consistently reflect the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation.

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will lead and support the housekeeping team in delivering exceptional guest experiences through strong organization, hands-on leadership, and a passion for hospitality excellence. You will oversee daily room inspections, coordinate workflow, train and coach team members, and ensure all brand standards and safety protocols are met.

  • Supervise daily housekeeping operations and room assignments
  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas for quality assurance
  • Support, train, and motivate housekeeping attendants
  • Ensure timely turnaround of clean rooms for guest arrivals
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and communicate needs
  • Uphold cleanliness, safety, and luxury service standards

About The Hotel

Mining Exchange Hotel was built in 1902 as a stock exchange for local mining companies, The Mining Exchange Hotel offers a one-of-a-kind experience in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs. Our elegant, yet casual public spaces, and guestrooms are all newly renovated.

Job Role

Responsibilities include training and supervision of room/suite and house attendants to ensure all rooms/suites and public areas are cleaned and comply with hotel standards. Visually inspects rooms/suites.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect rooms, complete reports, verify status reports; report clean suites to hotel front desk and / or load into automated property management systems.
  • Open housekeeping: check rooms inventory, assign rooms to room/suite attendants
  • Monitor payroll reports and work schedules
  • Monitor lost and found program.
  • Ensure stock rooms and carts are maintained with proper supplies

Requirements

  • 1-2 years housekeeping supervisory experience in hotel preferred.
  • 4 or more years hotel housekeeping experience.
  • Read, write and speak English fluently. Knowledge of other languages, especially Spanish is a plus.
  • Knowledge of inventories, scheduling and productivity.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other team members verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to inspect 25 to 80 rooms per day.
  • Ability to clean rooms, when needed.
  • Physically able to move and / or operate large objects, such as: maid’s carts, suite furniture, large bags of linen, vacuum cleaners and boxes of inventory.
  • Ability to follow and enforce all hotel standards, including safety procedures/standards and able to recognize and act in emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of and ability to operate computer.

Job Type: FLSA Designation: Full Time-Non-Exempt

Compensation: $21.00 per hour
