Located inside the vibrant Moxy Washington, DC Downtown, we're looking for a hands-on Culinary Supervisor – Back of House who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen and leads by example.

This role is ideal for an experienced line cook, lead cook, or kitchen supervisor who's ready to take the next step into leadership while continuing to work alongside the team.

What You'll Do

As the Culinary Supervisor, you'll help oversee the day-to-day kitchen operation, ensuring every dish leaving the pass meets our quality standards while fostering a positive, high-performing kitchen culture.

Responsibilities include:

• Supervise daily back-of-house operations and support the Executive Chef in leading the culinary team.
• Coach, train, and motivate line cooks and prep cooks to deliver consistent quality and execution.
• Ensure all food is prepared to recipe specifications and presentation standards.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards at all times.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and product rotation.
• Monitor food costs, minimize waste, and support labor efficiency.
• Step into production during peak service periods while maintaining a calm and organized kitchen.
• Help create an environment built on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of culinary leadership experience as a Kitchen Supervisor, Lead Line Cook, Sous Chef, or similar role.
• High-volume restaurant or hotel kitchen experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• ServSafe Certification preferred or the ability to obtain it.
