Laundry Attendant

JOB FUNCTION, TASKS, and RESPONSIBILITIES: 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow proper payroll procedures.
• Sort, count and record all linens into different classifications in different laundry baskets.
• Receive, store, and distribute clean linen from the laundry.
• Keep all laundry carts and working areas clean and organized.
• Communicate all information to the next shift as well as a supervisor.
• Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
• Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
• Candidate must have previous commercial laundry experience in hotel environment.
• Must have knowledge of laundry processes and equipment, such as high-capacity washers/dryers and flat work ironer.
• Candidate must have the ability to use cleaning agents, products, and equipment to maintain work area.
• Must have the ability to interact with all employees and guests in a professional manner.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills needed.
• Must be able to work all shifts inclusive of weekends and evenings.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Position:          * Position requires standing for long periods of time

Force:             * Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds

                        *Pushing and/or pulling items weighing approximately 300 pounds

Repetitions:    * Frequently standing up and moving about the property

                         *Frequently bending, stooping and kneeling
