Controller

Horseshoe Bay Resort | Crescent Hotels & Resorts

Lead Finance for a Premier Destination Resort

Horseshoe Bay Resort is seeking a strategic, hands-on Controller to lead financial operations for one of Texas’ most dynamic, multi-revenue luxury resorts. This is not a back-office role—you’ll be a key business partner influencing performance across rooms, F&B, golf, marina, spa, and more.

If you understand how resort economics truly work and can translate financial insight into operational results, this is your opportunity to make an impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver accurate, timely financial reporting and a clean month-end close
  • Partner with department leaders to drive profitability and performance
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Ensure strong internal controls and regulatory compliance
  • Oversee audits, cash flow, and multi-entity financial activity
  • Build and develop a high-performing accounting team
  • Drive process improvements across systems and workflows

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership
  • Strong hospitality or resort financial expertise (multi-revenue environments required)
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Proven ability to influence operations and partner across departments
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong communication skills

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Experience with hospitality systems (M3, Opera, etc.)

What Success Looks Like

  • Financials are accurate, timely, and trusted—no surprises
  • Finance is actively driving business performance, not just reporting it
  • Strong cross-functional relationships across the resort
  • A reliable, high-performing accounting team

Why Join Horseshoe Bay Resort

  • High-impact, strategic leadership role
  • Exposure to complex, multi-entity resort operations
  • Ability to influence both financial strategy and day-to-day performance
  • Collaborative, entrepreneurial environment with strong leadership visibility

Compensation & Benefits

  • $105,000 – $125,000 base salary
  • Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with match
  • Paid time off + holidays
  • Relocation assistance available

Resort Perks:

Discounts on dining, retail, and resort stays, plus access to amenities
