    Responsibilities

    The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for directing, supervising, and coordinating the daily operations of the hotel's housekeeping department. This position will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, efficiency, and guest satisfaction throughout the property.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Lead, motivate, train, and develop housekeeping team members to deliver exceptional service and performance.
    • Oversee daily housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and housekeeping supplies.
    • Schedule and assign work to housekeeping team members based on occupancy, business needs, and operational priorities.
    • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, presentation, and brand standards are consistently met.
    • Monitor housekeeping productivity, staffing levels, and department performance.
    • Address guest requests, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
    • Work closely with Front Office, Maintenance, and other hotel departments to ensure efficient communication and timely resolution of guest-room and operational issues.
    • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of linens, amenities, cleaning supplies, and equipment.
    • Ensure proper use, storage, labeling, and disposal of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
    • Maintain compliance with hotel policies, safety procedures, sanitation requirements, and brand standards.
    • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of housekeeping team members.
    • Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
    • Monitor departmental expenses and help manage labor and supply costs effectively.
    • Ensure lost-and-found procedures are followed consistently.

    Requirements
    • 3+ years of housekeeping leadership or supervisory experience in a hotel environment, preferably with a recognized or luxury hotel brand.
    • Previous hotel housekeeping experience is required.

    • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and effectively manage changing business needs.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to exceptional cleanliness and guest service.
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

    Compensation

    $70,000–$75,000 per year, depending on experience
