Director of Marketing

Located on the beautiful shores of Geneva Lake, The Abbey Resort is seeking a creative, strategic, and results-driven Marketing Director to lead our marketing efforts and elevate our brand presence. As the Marketing Director, you will play a key role in shaping the resort's marketing strategy, driving brand awareness, and attracting new and returning guests. From overseeing impactful advertising campaigns and digital marketing initiatives to developing promotions, events, and partnerships, you will help create memorable guest experiences while supporting the resort's growth and success

Job Type: Salary, Exempt

Rate of Pay: 68,000 - 72,000 based on experience

What You'll Do

• Lead the development and execution of innovative marketing strategies that drive resort occupancy, revenue, and brand awareness.
• Create and oversee compelling digital, social media, email, and advertising campaigns that inspire guests to choose The Abbey Resort.
• Manage and mentor the marketing team, ensuring projects are completed on time, on brand, and aligned with business objectives.
• Analyze marketing performance and guest trends to identify opportunities, optimize campaigns, and maximize return on investment.
• Oversee website content, SEO, and digital marketing initiatives to increase online visibility, traffic, and direct bookings.
• Collaborate with resort leaders to create promotions, packages, and special events that enhance the guest experience and drive demand.
• Protect and elevate the resort's brand identity through creative storytelling, public relations, and strategic partnerships.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 3-5 years of progressive marketing experience, preferably within hospitality, resorts, hotels, tourism, or a related industry.
• Proven ability to develop and execute successful marketing campaigns across digital, social, email, and traditional channels.
• Strong leadership and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience analyzing marketing metrics, campaign performance, and market trends to drive strategic decisions.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with a keen eye for detail and brand consistency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); experience with Canva preferred.
• Knowledge of website management, SEO, PPC advertising, CRM platforms, and email marketing best practices.
• Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and build strong relationships with internal teams, vendors, and agency partners.
