Position Summary:The IT Specialist IV is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, coordinating, and overseeing all Infrastructure and Cyber Security Technologies and operations to include: networks, servers, security protocols, telephony, audio visual, sound, storage hardware and software while ensuring reliability, uptime, and security for all the Tesuque Casino and Pueblo of Tesuque Development Corporation enterprises supporting hardware and software. Promotes and exhibits excellent guest service to players, internal users, clients and all stakeholders within the organization. This is the most senior technical position in the department under the direction of the I.T. Manager. This position will fill in as I.T. Manager during the absence of the I.T. Manager.
Note: Native American preference will be given.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Establishes and implements IT department and overall organizational policies, procedures, and standards and ensures their compliance.
- Provides on-going formal reports to the IT Manager and Director of I.T. regarding the status of network security, network software versions, data integrity, corporate anti-virus disaster recovery and other reports as needed.
- Provides network and system training to other IT staff members and casino employees.
- Manages Windows systems to ensure revisions, changes, and updates to operating systems and servers and insures compliance with system of internal controls and current gaming regulations.
- Maintains Core Network, Servers, Software and Hardware and ensure 100% uptime of network devices and takes proactive steps to achieve these standards.
- Maintains Network Security by ensuring procedures are implemented and enforced.
- Formally document updates and changes for the enterprise server and network topology.
- Responsible for all enterprise backup systems and ensure 100% compliance with system backup and recovery internal controls.
- Will adhere to all IT Internal Controls and Standard Operating procedures.
- Will annually review network and active directory security with management and revise security as necessary.
- Ensures patch management of critical software, hardware, definition updates are tested and implemented in a timely manner.
- Oversee management and setup of Cisco routers and switches
- Provide network printer management services
- Manage Network Security and Security Monitoring Systems
- Will help monitor, manage and work tickets in the ticket request system and will be the final source of escalation of tickets

Experience and Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associates Degree or higher.
- At least three to five years related experience.
- Scripting in PowerShell is a plus and would be helpful but not mandatory.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associates Degree or higher.
- Three years of related experience.
- Knowledge of programming languages and scripting tools.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, and obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Pueblo of Tesuque Gaming Commission.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The IT Specialist IV is responsible for overseeing the escalated tickets and training of the IT Specialist III and I.T. Tech’s II and I in the Information Technology department, ensuring alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. This position would fill in during the absence or leave of the I.T. Manager.
Following initial training, the IT Specialist IV is expected to perform duties independently, demonstrating proficiency and autonomy in task execution. Regular spot checks will be conducted to evaluate accuracy, adequacy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant rules, regulations, and policies.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and walk for extended periods. The employee occasionally is required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee will be required to talk for extended periods and must be able to hear and understand. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to fifty (50) pounds. The work environment includes a variety of settings the following: food, oils, and cooking surfaces. The incumbent occasionally exposed to loud noise, change in temperatures, and second-hand smoke.
Work Environment:
Work is generally performed in a casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level. Due to the nature and scope of this position, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours and irregular shifts will be required.
