Front Desk Agent

Position Summary

Horseshoe Bay Resort is seeking a customer‑focused Front Desk Agent to serve as the first point of contact for resort guests. This role is responsible for delivering a high standard of service while efficiently managing front desk operations in a courteous, professional, and welcoming manner.

Front Desk Agents play a critical role in shaping the guest experience by ensuring smooth arrivals, departures, and prompt resolution of guest needs while adhering to established procedures and service standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide professional, efficient guest service at the front desk, maintaining positive relationships with all resort departments.
  • Complete guest check‑in and check‑out procedures, including room assignments and accommodation of special requests.
  • Handle all cash, credit, and billing transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of daily resort operations, events, promotions, room types, rates, packages, and amenities.
  • Process reservations and same‑day bookings using Agilysys property management software.
  • Address guest questions, concerns, and service issues promptly and effectively, ensuring resolution and guest satisfaction.
  • Prepare and issue accurate guest invoices, ensuring zero balances at checkout.
  • Complete end‑of‑shift banking and reporting procedures following established guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Previous customer service experience; hotel or resort experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, computer, and basic typing skills.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.

Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to handle guest concerns and conflict situations professionally.
  • Knowledge of the local area and resort surroundings preferred.
  • Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
