PM Bartender (Lobby Bar)Property: Residence Inn Cary Raleigh
Position Type: Part-Time or Full-Time, Hourly + Tips
Schedule: Evening/PM shifts, including weekends & event nights Start Date January 2nd 2026
Position Overview
The PM Bartender oversees evening bar operations in the lobby, providing a relaxed, welcoming environment for guests winding down after their day. This role focuses on friendly bar service, responsible alcohol service, and maximizing guest satisfaction and ancillary revenue.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and brand standards
Greet guests warmly, engage in conversation, and provide menu suggestions
Operate POS system accurately, handle payments, and reconcile shift reports
Maintain bar area cleanliness, stock levels, and proper setup/breakdown
Assist with light food service (small plates, snacks, or limited menu items) as applicable
Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and company policies
Support Guest Service Manager and Front Desk with lobby atmosphere and guest engagement
Promote hotel offerings and local recommendations to enhance guest experience
Follow all safety, sanitation, and food-handling standards
Qualifications
Previous bartending or bar service experience required (hotel or restaurant preferred)
Valid state-required alcohol service certification (or ability to obtain)
Strong guest service and communication skills
Reliable, professional, and comfortable working independently in the evenings
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
